Plotsklaps Self Catering Cottage is located in Tokai, Cape Town, on the slopes of Constantiaberg Mountains bordering Tokai Forests, wine producing vineyards and magnificent golf courses, and mountain walks.

Relax under the African skies on an acre of rolling lawns, parkland flower borders, a sparkling pool and patio, sauna, cool and shady lapa with mountain views to enjoy for a lazy afternoon. Meanwhile let the children enjoy the jungle gym, tree swing, and refreshing pool, before retiring to a night under the romantic thatch roof.

On arrival you will be welcomed by the warmth of Africa throughout the calm and peaceful home, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of urban life which is reached within 5 minutes of driving.

Plotsklaps offers home from home comfort for family living, providing all your conveniences to make life easy and simple. The guest accommodation is laid out over 2 levels, comprising of, 2 bedrooms, both en-suite, a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, dining room and television lounge.

Situated on the lower level is the 2nd bedroom, furnished with double bunk beds, the en-suite bathroom includes a bath, toilet and wash hand basin. The television lounge offers a large screen TV, with surround sound, satellite television channels and collection of DVD's and CD's. This leads onto a sun drenched patio and surrounding garden. Meanwhile upstairs you will find the main bedroom with a king size bed, dressing table for the ladies and a single bed/lounger for the very young member of the family. The en-suite bathroom offers a double, walk-in shower, toilet and double wash hand basin. The kitchen is fully fitted with all appliances, including washing machine, tumble dryer, dish washer, microwave, double oven and electric hob. Leading off the kitchen, overlooking the patio and gardens with mountain views, is the dining room to seat 6, occasional chairs and couch to stretch out on for the after lunch snooze!

The accommodation is offered as self catering, with additional options of servicing at your convenience, and breakfast can be prepared on your request. The Annexe, as the above accommodation is fondly referred to by the owners, David and Rachael May, is situated adjacent too their private full time residence within the grounds of Plotsklaps.

Local Attractions
Situated in Constantia Valley, nestled under the Constantiaberg Mountains and easily accessed via the M41 and M42, this area's special feature is its Forest reserve. Tokai is named after wine-producing hills in Hungary. The Forest reserve was the first in South Africa to implement a reforestation plan, out into effect in 1883. due to this, large parts of the Constantiaberg Mountains are covered in pine trees.

A fairly steep walk to Elephants Eye Cave on the mountain is well worth the effort for the panoramic views it affords.

Our local vineyards are well worth a visit to sample the wines of the Constantia Valley. Newlands rugby and cricket stadiums 10 minutes away.
